An embedded network is a private electricity network, where all residents get bills from the same electricity company.

Getting energy concessions and debt relief is a great way to help you manage energy costs. It’s important to know that, if you live in an embedded network, there is a different way of applying for energy concessions and debt relief. Let us show you how.

Concessions

Getting your energy concession if you live in an embedded network

If you have a Pensioner Card, Health Care Card or Veteran Affairs Gold Card and live in an embedded network, you’ll need to apply for your energy concession each year. If you live in an embedded network you will not receive a concession directly on your energy bill.

Every January, embedded network customers should apply for the Non-Mains Energy Concession to get money back on what you spent on energy the previous year.

Applications can be completed either through your MyGov online account or by completing an application form.

You will need to include copies of your last 12 months of electricity bills with your completed application.
